Practice Makes Progress

Struggling with your curls? Let me help you fall in love with your curls and become a new client here.

We’re probably all familiar with the saying practice makes perfect. And in all honesty that sounds like a great little motivator. But I actually disagree… Here’s why:

When I started doing hair I had no idea what I was doing. Honestly! I went to an amazing cosmetology school that prepared me in many skills and encouraged me to always learn something new. But I remember those first months of working; all those things I learned at school seemed to mean nothing in the “real world.” So in those moments when I would get frustrated, I would remember this: practice makes progress, not perfection. That made me feel so much better, because each haircut or color I did, I knew I was progressing to where I wanted to be.

And the very same thing can be said for you and your curls! You may not be where you want to be at, but keep practicing because progress will follow. Continue to struggle and style your thick hair. Keep working to hydrate the wet frizzy pieces. Persevere until your curls feel soft again. Why? Because practice will make progress in the end.
